MFOA History and Structure

MFOA was created in 1995 under the Non-profit Corporations Act of South Carolina, to provide mathematically promising high school students in North America with financial assistance to attend appropriate summer programs.

At present, MFOA provides fund-raising support for students who attend Canada/USA Mathcamp. Other summer programs may be added at a future date.

MFOA is a non-member organization run by a self-perpetuating board of directors. The term of a director is three years; the term is renewable for up to two additional terms.
